Your chance to fight human trafficking [Livestream]

It’s easy to get disillusioned with political debate. Frequently, it degenerates into petty point-scoring and partisan bickering. Constructive dialogue, it seems, often disappears out the window. So it’s nice when an issue comes along on which nearly everybody can agree. One such issue is the problem of human trafficking — the use of fraud, force, or coercion to exploit a child or adult for profit. It’s estimated that there are more than 12 million trafficked people in the world today — a $32 billion industry. Every day, children are forced to perform sexual acts or work long hours in filthy, dangerous conditions for the financial benefit of someone else. Interns with a [world] vision

As we get ready to send off our amazing summer interns — some back to school, some onto start their careers, but all to wherever God leads them — we want to say THANK YOU for the help you’ve given us this summer, and the impact you’ve had on the lives of children around the world. 12 challenges for your summer bucket list

When I was in college, I spent my summers visiting family and friends, journeying on cross-country road trips, catching up on extracurricular reading, or traveling internationally (if I could afford it). I always started off my summer vacation with a desire to make my summer really count — to do something purposeful and intentional to help other people. But after a few weeks in the sun, I often resorted to all my summer norms.
