Companies face hundreds of decisions every day, decisions that have the potential to affect people’s lives. So when companies choose to partner with World Vision, it’s a decision that always humbles me. It says a lot about a company’s ethos when they choose to give their time and resources to bettering the world around them. It says we want to help make a difference in our world; we want to positively affect people’s lives.
A special thank you to these companies who have recently shared with us in the incredible opportunity we have to partner with one another in building a better world for children.
10 times the opportunity. Last month, 10×10 visited World Vision communities in Ethiopia and earlier this month, they visited our colleagues and communities in India. We encourage you to read their team’s blog post about an extra special experience meeting World Vision Ethiopia staffer, Rediete.
About 10×10 (from 10x10act.org): 10×10 harnesses the power of media to bring together forward-thinking nonprofits, action-oriented corporations and committed individuals dedicated to the empowerment of girls around the world. At the heart of 10×10 is a feature film that tells the stories of 10 extraordinary girls, from 10 developing countries around the world… the journey of navigating adolescence as girl in the developing world today.
In the blink of an eye. The story of Blinksale and World Vision’s partnership is really one of those they were friends of a friend of another WV partner who became our friends, too. In the month of March, Blinksale has committed a percentage of sales for customers who purchase their newest add-on Blinkpay, to four organizations tackling issues of injustice including World Vision. Why us? Because they believe in what we do, and we couldn’t be more blessed by their support.
About Blinksale: Blinksale strives to be the easiest way to do online invoicing. With that goal in mind, they’re determined to make the whole process of getting paid by clients even more seamless with Blinkpay. With Blinkpay, Blinksale customers’ clients can pay by credit card. No waiting. No hassles. No worries.
Jedidiah for Japan. Jedidiah might be based in San Diego, but their clothing and efforts are reaching around the world to help those in need. Their new eight-piece Japan inspired t-shirt line “Help Heal Japan” that was created immediately following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in collaboration with Bulldog Drummond, encourages Jedidiah fans to wear their support. For every $20 t-shirt purchased, Jedidiah is donating $15 to support World Vision relief efforts in Japan. Thanks also to several retailers for making this line possible.
About Jedidiah: Jedidiah uses fashion, art and clothing to raise awareness of social causes and issues of injustice through apparel sales, encouraging consumers to make a measurable difference in our world.
It’s all very veggie. Maybe you’ve seen the new VeggieTales DVD “’Twas the Night Before Easter” or maybe your kids are wearing “veggie bands” around, or maybe you tuned in for the recent VeggieTales/World Vision Twitter party? Needless to say, we’re all “going veggie” these days. This Easter, we’re partnering together for the release of their newest DVD and to teach kids about the value of helping others and to encourage families to sponsor children in need. *Stay tuned for a special VeggieTales giveaway on our Facebook page this Thursday, March 31.
About VeggieTales: Have you ever seen Larry the cucumber or Bobthe tomato? Bob and Larry, and many more silly vegetables, are VeggieTales characters that help teach children the importance of good morals through short films, activities and a brand new website.
