We want to honor our child sponsors this week — and that means we want to see your smile!
Send us a selfie of you holding up a photo of your sponsored child or children (like the ones shown here). When you do, we'll include it in a video we're creating for the world to see on our Facebook page!
There's something special about getting pictures and letters from your sponsored child. I've experienced it myself. Three years ago, I met Claudia, my sponsored girl in Guatemala. She was 8 years old at the time.
Now, when I get photos of her and see how she's grown, I see a young women whose life and community continues to be transformed by education, economic development, medical care, spiritual nurture, and more — all things made possible through the long-term, sustainable work of World Vision child sponsorship.
That's something worth celebrating—and showing off! When you send us your selfie with your sponsored child, you provide a visual expression of the impact you've personally had on his or her life.
How do you do it? Simple. By Wednesday May 14th just send it to us in one of three easy ways:
- Facebook: Post your selfie to World Vision's Facebook wall at: www.facebook.com/worldvision
- Twitter: Tweet @WorldVisionUSA and use the hashtag #WorldVisionSponsor
- Email: Send it to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Remember, when you send us your selfie, we'll include it in the video we produce and post on Facebook on Friday — seen by up to a million people!
Join us this week as we honor and celebrate the work of child sponsorship — and our generous donors like you who make it possible!
