New MyWorldVision site: Tell us what you think!

Sponsoring a child and keeping in touch with them is a real joy. But until recently, sending letters or emails, changing giving records, and tracking project updates meant visiting several parts of our web site, calling us, or sifting through World Vision mailings.

Our team thought: Wouldn’t it be great to put all of this material online, all in once place?

So we launched www.myworldvision.org last fall with all sorts of information about your sponsored children and their communities.

Last month, we made the My Sponsored Child section even better, and we added a new My Giving & Account section!

Now, you can:

Many of you have tweeted, emailed, and called to give us your opinion:

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!! Thank you so much for the new website with the ability to email my World Vision child! Also I have been sending the World Vision cards and such for years and had NO idea I could also send small gifts on my own!!! It was made VERY clear on the site with ideas and all!!! THANK YOU!!!!

The new sponsor site -- My WorldVision -- really helps me learn more about the world my sponsored children live in. I love the extra information about each community, especially where it shows the progress World Vision is making in working with the families who live there…I love this new site, so much information! How wonderful!

I am so impressed with the new email set up for writing to our sponsored kids!!! It is so-o-o-o easy to use!!!  YAY! No more forms to fill out with all the account info…the email is ready to write with the click of a button!!! THANK YOU!!!

I have not been on your site for a bit. I am so happy with the changes since last time. I can email my child more easily, I can see information about my child’s area, and find out how to send things and visit her. Thank you for making the site more user-friendly. So happy to be part of World Vision for all these years.

We’re adding new features regularly! Take a look around and use the comment space below to tell us what you like and what we could make better -- and please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make it easier to share love and encouragement with your sponsored children.

To get personalized information on the site, you’ll need to sign in to your online account. If you don’t already have one, don’t worry. It’s very easy to set one up.

Not a sponsor yet? For just $35 per month, you can help provide a child with life-giving basics like nutritious food, clean water, medical care, education, and spiritual nurture, as well as the intangible gift of hope. Plus, you'll build a personal relationship with a boy or girl who will know your name and feel your prayers. It's an experience that can change lives -- for a child, a family, a community, and sponsors themselves!

I really like all the new improvements to being able to sign into our account and accessing all the information in one spot. Wonderfully done. Thank you.

Thanks for that encouragement! I'll be sure to pass this on to the team working on My World Vision. -Jonathan, WV staff

I just signed up, added my account and sent sponsored child (Sylvia) an email too! Super easy. Thanks so much!!

Glad the process was easy! Definitely let us know if you have any suggestions on how we can make My World Vision better. We're always looking for input! -Jonathan, WV staff

For a while, I could access the child background information that was in my original packet. Some of them had even been updated! But this seems to have gone away and I really miss it. It would be great to have a little info sheet with grade, height, etc. Eventually, it would be nice to have the annual reports/pictures up there so that we could flip back through the years and see the changes. My cute little 4 year old from Mexico is now a handsome 17 year old!

Hi Deneen, thanks for your feedback and being such a dedicated sponsor! I will pass your thoughts onto the team. I love the idea of an annual report, thanks for sharing your ideas with us.

    Thanks,

    Lindsey, WV Staff
