Doug Treff

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Doug has a desire to equip kids and families to overcome poverty in the name of Jesus. He is passionate about maximizing the use of World Vision’s resources to accomplish this. Doug often shares the World Vision core value of We are Stewards: “The resources at our disposal are not our own; they are a sacred trust from God through donors on behalf of the poor” — especially vulnerable children. And that wise stewardship means maintaining donor trust and using those resources for maximum benefit to the people World Vision serves.

Doug prioritized effective resource allocation and financial accountability throughout his public company career, including 20 years in top financial officer roles at Collective Brands, Sears Canada, Deluxe Corporation, and Wilsons Leather. His experience encompasses finance, investor relations, external communications, information technology, legal, real estate, and human resources.

Doug joined World Vision in 2016 as CFO following his service on the World Vision board of directors. Through his board membership and as a member (with his wife, Pat) of World Vision’s National Leadership Council, he observed firsthand the impact of World Vision’s work around the world.

“I joined World Vision to use my experience and gifts for even greater impact and to go beyond supporting the organization’s mission as a donor. My goal is to be an agent of change by helping this great team partner with vulnerable children and their communities so they experience God’s love and have a brighter future.”
